Renewable energy from the sun and biomass

At the moment, at the farmhouse Ai Due Laghi we produce thermal energy (for winter heating) using a boiler that works with chipping (ground-wood). In the summer, we heat our sanitary water with solar thermal panels, and distribute it through individual heating facilities. The firewood comes from the woods around the lakes. One part of electricity - approx. 30 kw - is produced by photovoltaic panels. In the future, with the help of a gasification plant (a chipping-powered thermal and electrical cogeneration plant), the agritourism will be self-sufficient from the energy point of view.
